Pinay mom parenting her Caucasian/Filipino daughter in suburban America.
Came across these other “old” photos while looking for one of my mom.
Here is the whole picture from which I cropped Mom. I think, it was taken at my Kindergarten graduation— I’m the one in the school uniform.

Mary is my "I'm Not a Baby!" daughter and this is my blog about her and our life in suburban America. Parenting tales, our travels and travails, forays into great and not-so-great restaurants, kitchen adventures--- all chronicled with as much photos as you can stand. Comments are very much appreciated --- let me know you dropped by! Thank you.

It’s all downhill from here. My daughter just went with our next door neighbor to her 8th grade semi formal “as friends” to which my husband replied (all distraught) “Of course, AS FRIENDS- what else would it be?!! Why would they even SAY that?!!). It’s gonna be a long ride- she’s the first of 4, yes 4 girls over a 10 year spread.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!!

Don’t worry about not smiling. Nary a smile was found in my husband’s childhood pics, yet he grew up to be a professional stand-up comedian. He is a crying-on-the-inside kind of clown, I guess. Haha.
