Pinay mom parenting her Caucasian/Filipino daughter in suburban America.
I was not and yet we woke up to one.
You see, it was so nice outside yesterday, Christmas Eve. Walking out of church after the 3 0′clock Children’s mass where Mary participated in the Christmas Pageant, the weather had just the right coldness in the air, only a little bit of snow and ice leftover in the sidewalks and the street… it was perfect for getting all dressed up and walking around!
Christmas Eve dusk (???) looked so pretty, Mary and I stepped outside for pictures.
And then, this morning, we woke up to a blanket of snow…
After opening presents and breakfast, I headed out to take more pictures. Couldn’t get Mary to step outside with me this time. Can’t blame her— it was freezing outside and the new toys she got were enough to keep her inside.

Mary is my "I'm Not a Baby!" daughter and this is my blog about her and our life in suburban America. Parenting tales, our travels and travails, forays into great and not-so-great restaurants, kitchen adventures--- all chronicled with as much photos as you can stand. Comments are very much appreciated --- let me know you dropped by! Thank you.

Oh now — that is neat… before and after photos — aren’t you a smartie!!
I LOVE those Aspens. Very tall and majestic looking! Our Iowa trees always seem so squatty when we come back from CO. LOL
Merry Christmas!!
