Meme Time.  Racgold tagged me and it seemed like fun and easy to do. ….. until I had to come up with 5 people to tag.

  • Name one thing you do everyday.

Be a “meanie” to my daughter.  This is according to her point of view.  I am just being a mom who is looking out for her child’s well-being, that is what I tell her, not in such big words…

  • Name two things you wish you could learn.

HTML - will make my blogging life easier.

Knitting -  I can crochet but not knit and I just love afghans.

  • Name three things that remind you of your childhood.

Fried garlic.  The smell alone reminds me of meals enjoyed— sinangag (fried rice) in the mornings, stir-frys for lunch, my mom’s adobo for dinner.

Heavy rain.  I love the sound of rain pounding the pavement, house roofs, window panes.  Reminds me of school closures and pleasure with getting a break from the hot climate in the Philippines.  How refereshing!

Bananas.  A mainstay in my childhood home as dessert.  I also used to marvel at my mom eating it with her rice.  Seemed so weird to me then.

  • Name four things you love to eat but rarely do.

Dried pusit (squid).  Have always missed having access to some very tasty dried pusit.  Was very happy to find a Thailand product that has it in “Sweet & Spicy” and “Sweet” flavors but sadly not widely available in Asian markets.  For the good, maybe, as its got a smell that not everybody (meaning Jack nor Mary) likes.

Corned beef and rice.  My ultimate comfort food.  My really lazy way to serve is by opening a can of corned beef, spoon some over cold cooked rice, microwave!

Pork adobo.  The way my mom makes it and how I most enjoy it takes a LOT of work.

Sausage McMuffin With Egg.  Enough said.

  • Name five things that make you feel good.

Vigorous workout.

Nice salad.

My daughter saying “I love you” without prompting.

My mom and dad’s smiling faces over at Skype while talking with my daughter.

Fleece pajamas.

5 People I’m tagging…

Of course, my little sister, Val.

My new best friends, Manisha and Amy

My new workout buddies, Sadie and Jess over at Mamas Finding Fit at 2008.

Hey, coming up with 5 people to tag was not so difficult, after all.
