Pinay mom parenting her Caucasian/Filipino daughter in suburban America.
And Not So Cold Weather
Contrary to popular belief, Colorado is not all about snow and freezing temperatures. Even in winter, we get delightful breaks from the cold and one learns to take advantage of it.
Take this week for example…
Monday, it was almost like a day at the beach.

Even, the trees get confused. They look like buds to me. Spring is still a long way off.

Tuesday, not quite so sunny but still warm enough for Mary to enjoy the outdoors.
“Let’s see if I can break that ice…”

Mary is a little bit sad. Reluctant to go home? No, she “accidentally” threw into the pond an acorn cap (that’s what she said it was, I did not see it) that she found out she loved after it was gone.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Back to freezing temperatures and colder wind chills. And some snow, too. I was tired of taking pictures of the snow. So, no pictures of that this week.

Great photos — I grew up in Minnesota and remember very well messing around the edges of the ice…always fun until you get soaking wet toes!
Really fabulous photos!

Ah, wacky Colorado. How I love thee! Although, I would really like to live without the inversions and brown clouds. Bleah!
