About

Sweet Life with Mary

Mary is my daughter and this is about my life with her and her Dad.  Mary is Tisay- half Caucasian, half Filipino.  I am the Filipino half, the Pinay, MarysMom, I grew up in Martial-Law Philippines (Imelda and her shoes…), now settled in a small town outside of Boulder, Colorado by way of New Jersey, upstate New York, Manhattan and Vancouver (Canada).

It is a sweet life with the usual issues of parenting and with the added twist of a Pinay mom coping with Western life.

I aim to share Mary’s daily life with occasional musings on how my Filipino upbringing relates (or not relate) to Mary’s upbringing.  Also, occasionally, I will share my discoveries on how I make my favorite Filipino dishes, drinks or snacks using ingredients I find in the local grocery stores and Asian markets.  I will also relate my trips to different ethnic markets around my area - Mexican, Asian, European - whatever is out there.  I will also present my take on various kid entertainment places - parks, playgrounds, children’s centers, libraries, etc.

Steeve, nakalimutan ko email address mo kaya dito na lang.
Kung bibili ka ng laptop, suggestion ko one of the HP dv6500 series notebooks. Maganda sana ung “HP Pavilion dv6426us 15.4″ Widescreen Laptop Computer” if available. Check w/HP website or http://www.shopzilla.com/10J–Laptop_Computers_-_cat_id–462__start–20
$850 daw pero sa ibang stores mas mura (around $650). Regards. Dad
